Parallel Society [counter culture convergence]
The Parallel Society in Lisbon runs over two days, occupying Marvila with a program that blends technology, culture, and music in an unconventional format.
The first day is based on an [un]conference model, focusing on hacktivism, technology, and critical thinking. Talks, workshops, and experimental sessions bring together developers, artists, and different communities in an open and participatory format.
On the second day, the musical program takes center stage, featuring electronic music, contemporary jazz, and other more exploratory approaches. Apparat (live), Gilles Peterson, Kode9, Calibre, and DJ Stingray 313 are part of a curation that connects international names with a strong local presence.
More than just a music event, Parallel Society brings together different areas and practices, creating a meeting point for communities and diverse ways of thinking and making culture.
